I don't think I fully realise it yet, but I really really AM back in Oz. And the first few days have been quite hilarious.
After a good but neverending flight full of half-sleep and good music, we arrived in Brisbane in the early morning. Sun was shining and it was already really hot and humid, so there was no mistaking it for cold and even-not-so-wintery Europe. We made the best of this beautiful day by going to the beach and get a pretty bad sunburn, because hey, that's part of the deal, right? The day ended with a nice Aussie dinner and rain shower, because hey, it's Wet Season in Queensland!
Yesterday was the first Soundwave day, and after having some difficulties getting in because they didn't quite believe Peter to be over 18, it was a good festival day indeed. Nice shows and weather, and the realisation that in the end this is a very, very small world we live in.
Early morning again now, and the end of the Queensland adventure. Next stop: Sydney!
