One week on the road already, and what an adventure it has been! After Soundwave Sydney and a day of hanging around in the harbour and on the water, it was time for the first Sidewave show. In the Enmore Theatre. Yes, THE Enmore Theatre. Needless to say that the feelings were mixed.
On Tuesday morning the road tripping started, which took us to Lake Illawarra, Shellharbour, Batemans Bay, Merimbula, Lakes Entrance, Bairnsdale, Leongatha and finally Melbourne, and brought us Hairy Harry the Echidna, Dutch groceries and a 'hook up with a local' fishing shop (I shouldn't have taken that advice so literally last time!).
And yes, Melbourne. The reunion could have been better. Peter's age was the problem again, this time because apparently hostels are for YOUTH only, which means we had to resort to some other accommodation for the second night. And besides that, we also managed to get seats for the gig in one of those four rows where standing was strictly prohibited.
Oh well.... Let's give them another chance tomorrow.
